A POPULAR Country and Western Festival is returning to Stourport Riverside Meadows this weekend.
The free event, which is organised by Wyre Forest District Council in collaboration with Free Spirit Western Dance and Hickmans of Kidderminster, is being held on Saturday (August 20) and Sunday (August 21).
This year's acts include Amy Morgan, Try Jackson, Paul Taylor and Jonny Holland on Saturday between 12pm and 8pm, while on Sunday the music starts at 11am and includes Billy Curtis, Chris Mezza and Magill. The event will end with the Trilogy from 6pm.
Other entertainment includes Fast Draw Shoot-Out competitions each day at 2pm, face painting and children's rides. There will also be food and trade stalls.
The Country and Western Festival is a free event, but there will be a small charge for some activities. The council welcomes donations to support present and future events.
Councillor Sally Chambers, cabinet member for health, well-being and housing, said: "The Country and Western Festival is always a lively event and is ideal for a free family day out.
"There is a lot to do and a wonderful line-up of live music.
"We would also love to see people turn up dressed for the occasion in Country and Western outfits to make this another great event."
There are camping pitches available on the Riverside Meadows. Pitches must be booked in advance at wyreforestdc.gov.uk/bookings or for further information, call Amy Smith on 01562 732975.
