RESIDENTS at a Cookley care home welcomed dancing grannies, the Fizzogs, during their Macmillan Coffee Morning.

Black Country comedy group, the Fizzogs, returned to Westley Court Care Home, in Cookley, on Wednesday, September 28, to entertain residents during the fundraising event.

As well as welcoming the Fizzogs, the care home hosted a coffee morning for family and friends which raised more than £700 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Samantha Hough, administrator at the care home, said: “The whole event went really, we were very pleased.

“It was very popular and lots of people turned up with cakes and we managed to raise more than £700.

“Everybody really enjoyed themselves and we received lots of positive comments from family members and friends who attended.

“We have had the Fizzogs visit a number times and it is always great to get them back to the care home for the residents – they love them.

“It was a brilliant day all round.”
