A BUSY year, packed with sell-out events and world-famous locomotives will be rounded off at Severn Valley Railway, as its popular Festive Season Services return to see in 2017.

The Festive Season Services, running from Boxing Day to January 2, offer passengers the opportunity to relax while admiring the views from the window of one of the SVR's heritage steam trains. Passengers can stop-off at any of the Railway's six stations.

Visitors do not need to book in advance for the services - which offer a relaxing way to round-off the year before the Railway closes for essential maintenance, re-opening again at February half-term.

Clare Gibbard, marketing and communications manager, said: "Our Festive Season Services traditionally mark the final passenger services of the year and are the ideal way for people to relax and enjoy some quality time after Christmas, taking a leisurely ride through the countryside in the warmth of our comfy carriages."

The services mark the end of a record-breaking year for the Railway, during which it saw more than 45,000 people flock to its Pacific Power event in October to see the world-famous locomotives Flying Scotsman and Tornado - making it the most popular one-off event it has ever held.
