TREASURE hunts, challenges and lots of steam trains are in store for visitors to Severn Valley Railway this half term.

The Railway's fleet of heritage steam locomotives will be in full steam, taking passengers through the Severn Valley between May 27, and June 4.

Youngsters can pick up special I-spy quiz sheets from booking offices and test their powers of observation - spotting special landmarks as they travel along the line.

A treasure hunt challenge and colouring activities will await visitors to the Engine House Visitor Centre, as well as interactive exhibits including Peter's Railway Young Engineers Centre and the Travelling Post Office.

Children can also eat for free at the Engine House's Flag an Whistle Food Stop on Friday, June 2, when adults purchase a main meal.

Clare Gibbard, the SVR's marketing and communications manager, said: "We are offering a real treat for visitors of all ages this half term, from fun and exciting rides on board our heritage steam trains, to plenty of family activities and challenges, so there will be plenty to see and do, whatever the weather."
