MEMBERS of a Kidderminster gym got muddy for charity in honour of the gym owner's father.

Seventeen members of Unique Fitness, in Mill Street, took part in the Tough Mudder Midlands Half in May, and raised £3,125.61 for Kemp Hospice.

Gym owner, Steve Knight's father, Mick, was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer, so the group decided to raise money for Kemp in his honour.

Mick's Army included Steve, Andy Knight, James Knight, Tammy Cook, Audra Corbett, Karan Chinn, Gaynor Scully, Dan Edwards, Charlie Wilson, Samantha Wills, Sarah Harrison, Jay Chadwick, Ryan Birch, Lauren Atkins, Debs Barber, Micah Villahermosa and Kevin Lang.

A spokesman for Mick's Army said: "We got through Tough Mudder as a team and raised more than £3,000 for Kemp Hospice - exceeding our target by more than £1,000.

"Great team. Great fun. Great cause."
