A GROUP of guide dogs were the star attraction at a coffee afternoon aimed at raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event held at Wribbenhall Parish Rooms saw people enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake, helping to raise £264.41 for the cause.
And this was organised to coincide with a special demonstration of how guide dogs are trained and learned more about the work they do.
Those attending the event bought in their own pet pooches to undertake a bit of training.
One of the organisers Corinne Bowden, who took her dog Nellie in with her, said: “The whole event went really well and people enjoyed the session with the dog trainer.
“There was tea, coffee and cake too and it was a fun and different way of raising money for such a worthwhile cause.”
