A MAN has been airlifted to hospital with chest injuries after he was impaled on a metal fence in Wolverley.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Church Bank, in Wolverley, at around 10.30am this morning (August 15) to reports of a patient impaled on a fence.
One crew from Kidderminster fire station also attended the scene, and helped release the man using hydraulic cutting gear.
West Mercia Police were also in attendance.
A spokesman for WMAS said: "A man in his 40s was treated for chest injuries after he was impaled on a metal spiked fence.
"The man was fully conscious and stable.
"He was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in Birmingham, by a Midlands Air Ambulance Crew, from Cosford."
Two ambulances and a paramedic support officer also attended the scene.
