FRIENDS and family searching for missing Kidderminster store boss Matthew Gill will be scouring parts of Wordsley this weekend.

A search has been organised to take place tomorrow (Saturday October 28) in the Ashwood Woods and ‘The New Wood’ to try and find any clues as to what has happened to Mr Gill, aged 43, who has not been since Friday October 6.

Anyone wishing to join in is asked to meet at the park in Kinver Street, Wordsley, (DY8 5AB) at 9am.

Friends say the areas are being targeted after new information received earlier this week.

Mr Gill was last seen by his partner Annette Woodhouse at their Stourbridge home as she left for work at 9am three weeks ago today (Friday).

She has told the News there was nothing unusual about his behaviour before he went missing and the last thing he said to her that morning was “see you later beautiful”.

Since disappearing – leaving his wallet and bank cards at home, Mr Gill’s car was found a few days later on the car park at Petzone at Prestwood, off the A449, and police have now issued an appeal to find his mobile phone - a black Samsung Galaxy S4 mini - after it was switched on for a few hours on the evening of Thursday October 19.

His family have now also launched an appeal to find his car keys, a picture of which can be seen on the Find Liggy Facebook page.

Police have said they are extremely concerned for the safety of Mr Gill, a store manager at B&Q in Kidderminster, who is described as white, five feet ten inches tall and of medium build.

He had short cropped hair at the time of his disappearance and is thought to have been wearing a blue Superdry T-shirt.

Anyone with information about Mr Gill’s phone, keys or his whereabouts should contact the Locate team immediately on 01902 649150 or the charity Missing People on 116 000.

Those wishing to take part in tomorrow’s search are advised to read the public safety briefing on the Find Liggy Facebook page before turning out.
