A NEW Kidderminster guitar shop is hitting the right notes after receiving a civic seal of approval.
Mayor of Kidderminster Councillor Nicky Gale officially opened Beryl Guitars’ new premises, which are based in Coventry Street in the town centre.
A host of visitors attended the launch which celebrated the company’s move to larger premises.
And Beryl CEO Phil Preece said community events aimed at preserving the town’s rich musical heritage formed a big part of his future plans for the independent business.
He said: “After five successful years in the town we knew it was time to expand.
“Our new guitar shop has a wide range of instruments from the music industry’s biggest brands and also offers music lessons and repairs.
“We are fairly unique in the fact that we are a retailer/maker and build our own Beryl branded guitars right here in our Kidderminster workshop.
“The local area has a rich musical heritage and we are here to play a main role in keeping it alive.
“Moving forward we will be hosting in store events such as open mic nights and will be serving and championing the very best of local food and drink.”
People can find out more about the company by visiting its new premises in Mercian House, calling the shop on 01562 228316 or by visiting the website www.berylguitars.co.uk
