GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but Storm Eleanor has been causing some morning traffic chaos in some areas of the region.

The A441 northbound is closed in Rowney Greeen due to fallen power cables between Redditch Road and M42 J2 (Alvechurch / Redditch). Power services are on site.

While in Harvington, the A450 Stourbridge Road is partially blocked due to fallen tree near Sandy Lane.

There is heavy traffic in Hagley on Worcester Road and Kidderminster Road around Summervale Road / Western Road as well as on Kidderminster Road South between Worcester Road (Hagley) and Station Drive (Blakedown).

In Kidderminster there is heavy traffic on A456 Birmingham Road between A449 Chester Road North (Land Oak traffic lights) and A451 The Ringway / Coventry Street (Kidderminster Medical Centre).

There is also the usual congestion at the Burnt Tree traffic lights in Dudley and Birchley Island in Oldbury which is causing delays.

There are areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, they include:

Speed restriction of 30 mph and one lane closed due to major roadworks and contraflow on M5 both ways between J1 (West Bromwich / Birmingham) and J2 (Oldbury). Work on the Oldbury Viaduct means that all traffic is sharing one side of the road as a contraflow.

There are also speed restriction of 20 mph in Pensnett due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights on A4101 High Street at High Oak.

In Quinton there are roadworks on A456 at M5 J3 (Halesowen / Birmingham) around the motorway island, while in Catshill there are telecoms work and temporary traffic lights on A38 Birmingham Road at B4185 Golden Cross Lane / Braces Lane.
