PEOPLE from across Wyre Forest will come together to remember victims of the Holocaust this weekend.
A commemorative service will be held at the Wyre Forest Holocaust Memorial Stone in front of St Mary and All Saints Kidderminster at 11.45 for a 12 noon start on Sunday, January 28.
Speakers at the service include Councillor Fran Oborski MBE and Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier.
Civic dignitaries including the chairman of Worcestershire County Council, chairman of Wyre Forest District Council and Mayors of Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley will also attend.
Wreaths in memory of child victims will be laid by the Head Boy and Head Girl of King Charles 1 School and children from the Mike Oborski Polish Saturday School.
Prayers will be said by representatives of the Church of England, English and Polish RC Churches, Methodists, Free Churches and the Jewish Faith.
All attending are asked to bring a flower to lay at the Memorial Stone. Tea and Coffee will be served in St Mary’s Chantry at the end of the service.
