REAL-LIFE partners Richard Cooper and Rebecca Bate will be taking on the starring roles in a forthcoming Stourbridge production of Me and My Girl.

The couple are to star as Bill Snibson and Sally Smith in the much-loved musical which is being presented by Tinkers Farm Opera at Stourbridge Town Hall in May.

Richard, aged 24, from Cradley Heath, and Rebecca, aged 26, from Wednesbury, who have performed in shows together for several years, joined Birmingham-based TFO last year to play Perchik and Tzeitel in the operetta and musical theatre group's acclaimed production of Fiddler on the Roof.

They are hoping this year's production of Me and My Girl proves equally popular with theatregoers and are looking forward to treading the boards together again in the show which will run from Wednesday May 16 to Saturday May 19 at Stourbridge Town Hall.

Rehearsals are already underway for the show which is being directed by Emma Harley with musical director Ian Hayward.

Performances start at 7.15pm for evening shows and there's also a Saturday matinee starting at 2.15pm.

Tickets are available online from www.boroughhalls.co.uk/TFO.html or from the box office on 01384 812812, or members of the company.
