A KIDDERMINSTER man has admitted causing death by careless driving.

The fatal crash was caused when David Acton, of Harold Evers Way, Kidderminster, pulled out of a side road in his Ford Focus as Stuart Wilson was driving along the B4114 at Ansley Common, north Warwickshire, in November 2016.

An HGV which had been waiting to make a right turn off the B4114 Coleshill Road was also involved in the collision at around 2.20pm on Friday, November 11.

Mr Wilson, from Nuneaton, who was driving a Vauxhall Astra, was airlifted to University Hospital in Coventry, where he tragically died six days later.

And at Warwick Crown Court, Acton, 32, pleaded guilty to causing Mr Wilson’s death by careless driving.

At the request of his barrister Tim Pole, the case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared on Acton.

He was granted bail, but Deputy Judge Richard Griffith-Jones warned him: “You have pleaded guilty to a serious charge, with terrible consequences.”
