A MAN was taken to hospital after being attacked by schoolboys in Kidderminster.

Police are appealing for people who witnessed the assault, which happened on Tuesday (June 5), to come forward.

The man, who is in his thirties, was walking along Birmingham Road at around 10.40am when two boys, wearing school uniforms, were passing him.

It's reported that one of them started punching the victim in the head and he was later taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital with a suspected broken cheekbone.

The boys are believed to have ran off towards the Land Oak public house.
