A COMMUNITY litter picking group recently teamed up with Spar on Marpool Lane to help tidy up the area.
Littler picking group Pickup Artists and Junior Pickup Artists, together with staff from the shop, collected 12 black bin bags.
Franche Road, Marpool Lane, Mill Lane and Proud Cross ringway were some of the areas the team cleared of litter, shopping baskets and general waste.
Spar gave slush puppies and refreshments to the group when everyone had finished, funded by the company’s charitable trust the Blakemore Foundation.
Donna Cooper, from Spar, said: "Following on from recent support of the Pickup Artists in other parts of Kidderminster we were keen to tidy up the area close to the store's location. All of the volunteers enjoyed themselves and felt like they had really made a difference to the local area."
