CREWS from across Wyre Forest are currently tackling a huge fire which broke out on an oil tanker in Stourport today (Friday, July 7).
Hereford and Worcester Fire Control took 37 calls reporting the fire at Sandy Lane just before 4pm.
Around 20 firefighters tackled the inferno, which involved a tanker holding 15,000 litres of petrol solvents.
It is believed the tanker caught fire at 3.53pm and spread to an adjacent building.
Plumes of thick black smoke were seen billowing into the sky miles from the incident.
Firefighters used hose reels and foam to extinguish the flames.
It is not known if there are any injuries at this point.
