COMEDY fans are invited to an evening of laugh-out-loud entertainment with big names in stand-up performing at the closing event of Bewdley Festival.

The Comedy Showcase will take place on Saturday October 20 at the Mercure Heath Hotel, Bewdley, and will be hosted by Phoenix Nights and I'm Alan Partridge Midlands comedienne Jo Enright.

The acclaimed host, who was also the leading lady in the Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant comedy Life's Too Short, will be joined by funnyman Ed Aczel, the regular Edinburgh Fringe comic who will bring his political wit and unique 'anti-comedy' to the Bewdley stage.

Also announced for the event is award-winning stand-up Dan Thomas, host of the Welsh language show Gwerthu Allan, who has previously toured Europe with Lee Evans and Russel Kane.

Tickets for the Comedy Showcase cost £17 and are available via www.bewdleyfestival.org.uk
