CREWS tackled two separate wild fires that started within half an hour of each other in Wyre Forest today (August 21).
Firefighters from Kidderminster, Bewdley, Stourport and Droitwich were called to a large blaze involving two acres of grass and undergrowth on the Rifle Range in Kidderminster just after 3.40pm this afternoon.
And then 20 minutes later, a fire involving 500 square metres of railway embankment off Northwood Lane in Bewdley broke out. A crew from Shropshire dealt with the incident.
