A SIX-year-old boy has returned to Britain after he was reportedly left “stateless and stuck” for two weeks in Belgium.

Mohamed Bangoura, who was born in Leeds, was stopped from boarding a flight home after visiting family friends in Brussels.

He was finally returned to the UK and reunited with his mother Hawa Keita on Monday after the Home Office issued him with an emergency travel document.

TOTTENHAM Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris is due to appear in court charged with drink-driving.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper, of East Finchley, north London, was charged and bailed following a routine patrol stop in the early hours of August 24.

The France international, who led his team to World Cup glory in Russia, was stopped in Gloucester Place, Marylebone, central London, Scotland Yard said.

DOWNING Street should seek to “thrash out” its differences with its Brexit opponents rather than setting up a unit to “accuse and attack them”, Iain Duncan Smith has said.

The former Tory leader told Newsnight that a meeting with critics would carry the party with them, after a senior fellow Brexiteer warned that Theresa May’s Chequers deal could split the party.

Former Brexit minister Steve Baker said he was “gravely concerned” about a potential schism in Tory ranks if the Prime Minister did not change direction.

AMERICA’S long-running reluctant relationship with the International Criminal Court (ICC) has come to a crashing halt, amid threats of sanctions if it investigates US troops in Afghanistan.

National security adviser John Bolton denounced the legitimacy of The Hague-based court, which was created in 2002 to prosecute war crimes and crimes of humanity and genocide in areas where perpetrators might not otherwise face justice.

It has 123 state parties that recognise its jurisdiction.

Mr Bolton’s speech, on the eve of the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, came as an ICC judge was expected to soon announce a decision on a request from prosecutors to formally open an investigation into allegations of war crimes committed by Afghan national security forces, Taliban and Haqqani network militants, and US forces and intelligence in Afghanistan since May 2003.
