WYRE Forest literature enthusiasts are invited to explore over 50 Autumn-themed poems in a special trail.
Bodenham Arboretum in Wolverley is holding their mile-long Poetry Trail running for a week from October 1 to 7, where ramblers can discover poems attached to trees.
The trail will feature poetry from literary luminaries such as Shakespeare, Keats, and John Clare, and will also showcase work from homegrown writing group The Bewdley Bards.
The event will also mark National Poetry Day on October 4 with readings from the Bewdley Bards at the Arboretum, and a give chance for visitors to try their hand at writing their own poetry.
James Binnian, owner of Bodenham Arboretum said: “We thought it would be a good idea to bring nature and art together to celebrate the wonderful autumnal colour here at Bodenham.
"Autumn provides much inspiration for creativity, whether it’s poetry, painting or photography and every October we see record numbers of visitors who want to witness the changing colours throughout the Arboretum.
"We’re inviting people to come and explore the wonderfully colourful woodland walks here and enjoy a little poetry along the way!”
Entrance to the Arboretum costs £6.50 for adults, £3.50 for children aged 5 to 16, and under 5s can enter for free.
The Bodenham Arboretum is open from 11am - 5pm.
