A BREATHTAKING display of thousands of knitted poppies has gone on display in Bewdley.
Members of the Knit and Natter group, based at All Saint’s Church in Wribbenhall, created the three thousand poppies to commemorate the end of the First World War in 1918.
They are now on display at the War Memorial in Wribbenhall, ahead of the forthcoming Remembrance services.
The group, which consists of 35 knitters, meet on Mondays and create garments for a number of good causes including blankets for the homeless and premature babies.
They usually meet at All Saint’s Church but, as the roof has been declared unsafe, they are currently holding sessions at the Social Club at Wribbenhall.
