A BEWDLEY fitness enthusiast is challenging himself and others to a strenuous set of workouts to raise money for a noble cause.
CrossFit Wyre Forest member Jason Leach has organised a 12 workouts in 12 hours challenge to raise funds for Children in Need, which will take place on Friday November 16.
Jason has been training at the Box and Crossfit for two years, and wanted to use his training and endurance for a worthy cause.
He will be joined by other members of Crossfit for the demanding workout, which will test strength and endurance.
Jason said: To give an idea of the scale of the challenge, each workout will use about 250 to 300 calories, so over the day I’ll use 2500 to 3100 calories, which is more than you use doing a 26 mile marathon.
"I’ll be lifting over 7000kgs off the floor, working the rower, assault bike and skiErg with support from fellow crossfitters."
