RHYL volunteers are doing their utmost to ensure the comfort of patients at Glan Clwyd Hospital.
Members of Soroptimist International Rhyl & District (SIRD) have been collecting and filling ' patient bags' with essential toiletries for people who are unexpectedly admitted to hospital at very short notice.
The initiative was organised after one of the Rhyl group member's mother was admitted to hospital suddenly while on holiday without any sanitary products.
Soroptimists Esther Roberts and Lesley Roberts donated their bags - which includes essential items such as soap, a flannel, a comb and a packet of tissues as well as a tooth brush and toothpaste - to the hospital's Acute Medical Unit.
Ms Karen Paton, ward manager, responded: “We are so appreciative to receive this very kind donation from the SIRD, which makes a lot difference for the patients admitted unexpectedly with their relatives.”
