A TIN full of cash for The Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal was stolen from a Kidderminster pub on Remembrance Sunday.
CCTV at the Boars Head in Worcester Street captured the crook as he yanked the collection tin off its chain, which was attached to the bar, while the barmaid was cleaning nearby at around 10pm.
Assistant pub manager Laura Cahill said: "The container was full and a lot of our customers had put notes in.
"We didn't notice it was missing until the next morning and then looked through CCTV and saw the low life that took it.
"We were all so angry - especially considering it was the 100th anniversary of the end of the war.
"We've got a lot of regulars that were in the armed forces and my husband served so it's a charity close to everyone's hearts."
Staff and customers at the Boars Head have since rallied round to raise more than £100 to replace the cash stolen, and Laura has launched a fundraising appeal on her Facebook page.
She added: "We're not letting this take money away from the soldiers that have died or still serving."
West Mercia Police said officers have a suspect who they are trying to track down.
