A MAN who stole a tin full of donations for the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal has been jailed.
David Ashbery was caught on CCTV at the Boars Head in Worcester Street, Kidderminster, on Remembrance Sunday, taking the collection tin while the barmaid's back was turned.
Ashbery admitted the offence, as well as another where he stole and pawned jewellery, and was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (November 21).
