POLICE and vehicle driving agencies carried out inspections on vehicles passing through Sandy Lane in Stourport this morning (Friday).
Officers from Stourport Safer Neighbourhood Team and Kidderminster Police carried out a multi-agency vehicle operation in partnership with HMRC, DVSA and Trading Standards to target commercial vehicles for red diesel and vehicle condition checks.
After a thorough examination, six vehicles were identified as failing inspections by DVSA and deemed to be in poor condition.
Offences ranged from missing wheel nuts, defective tyres, a damaged steering rack and defective lights on a trailer.
One vehicle was seized for no insurance and two vehicles were dealt with for no tax.
PCSO Stevens, of West Mercia Police, said: 'It is great to gather everyone here and work in close alliance with our multi-agency partners.
"We act on what we are told and what we learn from our communities and I thank all involved for assisting in carrying out a successful operation.
"Stourport SNT will be carrying out a similar operation in the near future."
