A FAMILY has paid tribute to a "thoughtful and loving" Evesham man who died in a crash.

Luke Ruff was killed when the car in which he was travelling collided with a lorry on the B4084, on the Cropthorne to Wick bound carriageway.

The 37-year-old from Evesham was pronounced dead at the scene on Friday December 7.

In a statement, his family said: "We are devastated to announce the loss of Luke on Friday December 7 in a tragic road accident.

"Luke was an outstanding, multi-talented young man – he was intelligent, thoughtful and loving even though he had his own problems to deal with.

"He was son to Michael and Patricia, partner to Jo, father to Ellese and Ashton and brother to Jessica and Kain.

"He worked hard as an experienced builder and followed his father's passion for motorbikes – he competed regularly in motocross trials."

His family added: "He loved his music and going to festivals, as well as reading and watching documentaries – he always had a fact about any topic, he knew something about everything!

"We will remember Luke as a hardworking, strong and a hopeful young man and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

"We would like to offer thanks to the emergency services and to the people who helped Luke and comforted him until he passed away. Luke will be in our hearts forever."

Police are continuing to investigate the collision and anyone with dashcam footage or any information that could help officers with their enquiries should call 101 quoting incident 604s of December 7, 2018.

A funeral service will be held for Luke at the Vale Crematorium at noon on Saturday, December 29.
