POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a black handbag was stolen in broad daylight from a woman's parked car in Kidderminster.
The item was stolen at around 2pm on Thursday (20 December), when a woman returned to her car parked on Bromsgrove Street.
The woman placed her handbag on the front passenger seat and her shopping in the footwell, and after she closed the door and walked to the driver's side, she saw a man open her passenger door, reach in and take the item from the front seat.
The man then ran off towards Prospect Hill and past the mini roundabout.
The man is described as white, in his 20s, of slight build, and between 5ft 8in tall and 5ft 10in tall.
He was wearing a black hat and all black clothing with dark stubble on his face.
Enquiries are currently ongoing and officers are keen for anyone who saw the incident, or witnessed anyone acting suspiciously to contact the police.
