A MAN has died following a fatal Christmas Eve car crash which also left two others with serious injuries. 

Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the horror two-car collision, which happened at around 10am on Monday December 24 on the A456 Bewdley bypass.

A man in his 80s, from Cheltenham, was taken to hospital for assessment and was later pronounced dead.

Two others were taken to hospital, a man in his 20s who suffered a broken leg and other injuries, and a woman in her 50s who sustained bruising.

One of the men had to be rescued by firefighters from one of the cars.

The collision involved a silver Honda Civic vehicle registration number ending DMA and a Grey Volkswagen Golf vehicle registration number ending XBZ.

PC Emma Breay, who is investigating the incident, said: "On Christmas Eve there was a serious road traffic collision on the A456 Bewdley bypass, three people were taken to hospital and sadly a man in his 80s was pronounced dead later that day in the hospital.

We would like to appeal to anyone who may been in the area at the time and witness the collision, or has dashcam footage of the collision."
