A STOURPORT jeweller says he is "immune to break-ins" after his store was robbed of around £10,000 worth of valuables.
A thief targeted Mantons of Stourport on High Street in an overnight raid today (Tuesday January 8) and stole a handful of rings and a few pairs of earrings.
The thief, who was caught on CCTV, smashed the front window with a hammer at around 1.30am and reached into the shop displays.
He cut his hand on the glass after, leaving behind blood.
He later returned to the front window at 4.30am and continued to reach into the shop to take the valuables.
Police were called to the store at around 7.45am this morning to a report of a burglary.
The store has fallen victim to several acts of vandalism and theft over the years.
Store owner Russel Hinton said: "This is a great inconvenience, but I am immune to break-ins.
"He took a handful of rings and a few pairs of earrings worth around ten grand in total.
"I feel anger with what he has done.
"We've had the windows smashed in the past.
"There's no point in worrying about it though.
"I am grateful to Clive Dorrell and John Winterburn for helping me board the shop window up."
Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the offence, and those with information can call 101 quoting the incident reference 100s 08/01/19.
