WYRE Forest music fans are invited to a barnstorming night of Americana featuring a critically acclaimed artist.

Austin artist Arkansas Dave will take to the stage at St George's Hall in Bewdley on Friday February 1, and will treat the audience to his swampy and bluesy sound.

Dave's work has taken him from Switzerland to Nashville and all over the UK, and will be the opening Americana artist of 2019 for Music in the Hall.

The multi-instrumentalist was Born in Little Rock and raised in Camden, Arkansas, developing a love for music and eventually finding his way to Austin, where he enrolled at the Media Tech school and plied his trade in the same studio where Willie Nelson and Neil Young cut records.

Dave developed a following in Austin, and released his self-titled debut album this year, which is a blues rock epic depicting his life story.

Dave said: “Taking this record on the road means the world to me, it’s all I’ve ever dreamt of.”

“I still have a lot of work, and the road never ends; I’m just glad I’m able to travel that road and do what I love to do.”

Dave and his band will be supported by both a Youth Artist and a local musician on the night.

Tickets cost £12.00 and are available online at www.thehall-bewdley.org.uk or from Hall Café.
