A MAN has been ordered to repay the cost of the meat he stole from Marks & Spencer in Kidderminster.
Jason Challenor, 29, of Prospect Terrace in Cornwall, pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, January 24.
Meat worth £960 was stolen from the Kidderminster supermarket between March 25 and March 29 last year.
Challenor was ordered to pay compensation of £960, plus £185 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service before February 15 next year.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into account when the sentence was imposed.
