PROG rock fans across Wyre Forest are invited to a three-day event of ‘out of this world’ music.

The progressive rock festival, Fusion - Music Without Boundaries 2019, will return on March 22 to 24 at the Civic Hall in Stourport.

The event will feature legendary rock group Focus, who will headline the festival on the Friday, as well as Peter Gabriel-era Genesis tribute band The Book of Genesis - complete with masks and costumes - on the Saturday.

Birmingham group IO Earth will also be headlining the event, bringing their revered emotional sound to close the festival.

Cult group England have also reformed for a one-off show, and will perform their album Garden Shed in its entirety for the first time.

New Worcestershire band Hey Jester will open the festival with an electrifying set on the Friday.

Event organiser Steve Gould said: “If you’re a prog fan you’re going to love this festival. We have a weekend of amazing bands lined up, not just for the oldies, but up and coming bands for a new generation of prog fans.

“The event has been planned since last April and I’m hoping to make this an annual festival.”

Friday tickets cost £15, Saturday and Sunday tickets cost £20, and the full weekend tickets cost £50. There is also a 50 per cent discount for students with a valid ID.

Tickets are available from ticketmaster.co.uk by searching Fusion, via thecivicstourport.co.uk/event/fusion-2019 or by calling 01299 823339.
