A DANGEROUS driver has been handed a hefty prison sentence following a hit and run in Kidderminster.

Jai Redding, aged 39, from Kidderminster, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison with a five year extended licence, and has been disqualified from driving for 9 years.

He appeared in Hereford Crown Court on Thursday February 28 and pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving, and causing serious injury from driving.

The charges of grievous bodily harm, actual bodily harm, and other offences, were in relation to an incident in Broad Street, Kidderminster, on Monday, July 23, which left a pedestrian aged in his 60s with life-changing injuries.

A motorcyclist, aged in his 20s, also suffered abrasions during the incident.
