WYRE Forest beer enthusiasts are invited to taste world brews at a returning festival at two pubs.

Beverages from China, Australia, Brazil, South Africa and the USA, as well as the UK, will be available at Wetherspoons pubs The Penny Black in Bull Ring, Kidderminster and George Hotel in Load Street, Bewdley, during their 12-day real-ale festival.

The pubs will each be serving up to 15 beers, as well as three UK ciders during the festival, which runs from Wednesday March 27 until Sunday April 7 inclusive.

The festival line-up includes new, seasonal and speciality beers, with flavours including blueberry, elderberry, chocolate, orange and raspberry.

Some of the international brews include Aggro Bear from Brazil, Asphalt Jungle from the USA and Gypsy Mask Red from South Africa.

The UK beers include Bunny Hop from Purity Brewery, Moonraker from J W Lees Brewery, and Choc & Orange Stout from Black Sheep Brewery.

Customers will be able to sample any three of the real ales or ciders in special third-of-a-pint glasses for the price of a pint.

George Hotel manager, Siobhan Rustom, said: "We are promising our customers a superb range of beers from overseas which have been brewed especially for the festival, together with some great beers from brewers across the UK.

"The festival will be the perfect way for real ale enthusiasts to enjoy a range of excellent beers over 12 days."
