THE splash pad at Kidderminster's Brinton Park will not open this weekend as originally planned.
The water fun park, located next to the play area in Sutton Road, was set to reopen on Friday (April 26), but Wyre Forest District Council said the splash pad requires complicated repairs.
A spokesman said: “We are dealing with a number of technical problems and complicated repairs at the splash pad in Brinton Park which we are working hard to fix.
”It will not reopen as we’d hoped this weekend, but we do hope to have it open permanently for the rest of summer very soon.”
The splash pad has a wide range of features for children to enjoy including hand-controlled water cannons with an eight metre firing range, a shallow play area for youngsters and a slide.
The splash pad also features nine water jets, two tipping buckets, and four water cannons.
