A TEENAGER from Rowley Regis has been given a six-week curfew after he was found with a knuckle duster in Stourport.

Shane Bastable, of Windsor Road, pleaded guilty to possessing an offensive weapon in Dunley Road on February 10.

The 19-year-old appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (June 4).

A community order was made, requiring Bastable to comply with a six-week curfew with electronic monitoring.

He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 plus £185 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

The knuckle duster was ordered to be destroyed.

In a separate case at Kidderminster Magistrates' on Tuesday, Jessica Goode, of Winbrook in Bewdley, pleaded guilty to driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

Goode, aged 28, admitted driving a BMW in Severn Side South after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in her breath, found to be 55 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath - exceeded the prescribed limit of 35 micrograms.

The defendant was fined £150 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30, plus £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service. She was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Andrei Iaici, aged 43, of Salisbury Drive in Kidderminster, pleaded guilty to assaulting Elena Iaici by beating her on May 17 this year.

He was fined £250 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30, as well as £135 in court costs.

No compensation was ordered because the parties remain in a relationship.

Aaron Potter, aged 27, of Steatite Way in Stourport, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour in Stourport on May 18.

He was fined £150 and ordered to pay £30 to fund victim services plus £135 to the CPS.

In another case, Richard Sollom, of Gilbert Scott Way, Kidderminster, was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work after he assaulted a police officer in Kidderminster.

Sollom, aged 30, pleaded guilty to assaulting PC Clayton on May 19 this year.

He also admitted possessing a Class A drug, namely cocaine, on the same day.

A community order was made, requiring the defendant to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.

He was also fined £200 for possessing drugs and must pay £200 in compensation for the assault, plus £185 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
