A NEW Carnival Queen has been crowed in Stourport ahead of an annual summertime event.
The Stourport Carnival Society held their Carnival court on Sunday, June 2, at the Yacht Club, where a queen, princess, rosebud, senior and junior prince were chosen out of 26 young people.
The youngsters will lead the annual Stourport Carnival in September.
Hagley Roman Catholic High School student Rosie Ashmore, aged 16, was crowned as the new queen, and 11-year-old Chloe Guise from Stourport High School was named as the princess.
Bibi Savage, aged six, who attends Lickhill Primary School, was made Rosebud, and 12-year-old Alex O’leary from Stourport High School, and six-year-old Alexander Mattinson from St Bartholomew’s C of E Primary School, have been dubbed senior and junior prince.
