A TASTE of the Wild West is returning to Stourport-on-Severn this summer.

The free two-day Country and Western Festival comes to Riverside Meadows on Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4.

There will be a variety of live bands and stalls along with line dancing demonstrations and a fast draw shoot-out. Entertainment kicks off at 11am on both days.

Saturday’s acts include Trey Jackson, Johnny Holland, Steve Lovett and Cheyenne, while on Sunday, there will be performances from Chris Harris, Kelly McCall and Souls ‘n’ Stone.

Councillor Helen Dyke, cabinet member for culture, leisure and community protection, said: “The Country and Western Festival has become a popular fixture in our events calendar after years and years of success.

"This summer’s programme features a great line-up of acts and activities to keep all the family entertained.”

Camping pitches are available from 2pm on the Friday until 10am on Monday, August 5 from £15 per night. Pitches must be booked in advance at wyreforestdc.gov.uk/bookings.
