NINE out of 10 patients have "confidence and trust" in their family doctor, a new report from NHS England suggests.

In a survey sent out to patients across the district, four in five people said their GP treated them with care and concern and provided them with enough time to listen to their needs.

Wyre Forest CCG doctor's practices were rated 'good' by 86 per cent of patients who filled out the survey - three per cent above the national average - while 51 per cent said their GP practice was 'very good'.

There were 2,954 surveys sent out in Wyre Forest, and 1,322 were sent back - a return rate of 45 per cent.

Nearly three in four people rated their overall experience of making an appointment as 'good' and 77 per cent of those who had tried to use their GP practice website found it easy to access information or services.

Lynda Dando, director of primary care, said: "The CCG is delighted to see that practices in Wyre Forest continue to achieve higher satisfaction rates than the national average – despite the challenges of increasing workload and a reduction in GP numbers."
