WALKERS from around North Wales are being invited to go the extra mile for people living with Alzheimer's.

The annual Llandudno Memory walk returns on Sunday, September 8 to welcome walkers to the promenade and raise money for the Alzheimer's Society once again.

Sign in for the walk is from 12.30pm, setting off from the Llandudno Lifeboat Station in Craig-Y-Don at 1.30pm for the 1.5 mile walk to the the pier.

Lucie Williams, community relations and recruitment manager for Home Instead Senior Care and walk organiser, said: "After the success of our 2016, 2017 and 2018 walk, we would like to invite you to come and join our walk.

"This is a walk, not a race, so it is open to those of all abilities - bring your prams, wheelchairs and dogs too!"

Attendees are welcome to join other walkers at Langtry’s Bar - under the Grand Hotel - where there will be music at the beginning of the event with DJ Johnny Williams and DJ Ian Turner at the end, as well as photographer Mike Parsons from Creative Studios.

The event will also feature a prize draw featuring a host of goodies from businesses across the coast including cinema and theatre tickets, beauty treatments and much more.

Ms Williams added: "Anyone can buy tickets and join us in Langtry’s for a chance to win some lovely prizes. Winners will be selected at random. Tickets will be on sale at the end of the walk.

"All funds raised will go directly to the Alzheimer's Society to help with their fight against dementia.

"Fingers crossed the event is a success and we can all be proud of the money we raise for this worthy cause."
