VISITORS to Hartlebury Castle next weekend will be able to indulge in a range of tasty treats and beverages from local businesses while exploring the historic grounds.

The castle is launching a new food and drink festival on Saturday, September 28, with stalls selling preserves, cheeses, savoury snacks and sweet treats and drinks including local wines, beer, gin and Prosecco.

There will also be food demonstrations from Community Action, a wine talk from Astley Vineyards, a Worcestershire Woodturners stand and an apple-juicing display by Wade Muggleton.

Chantel Summerfield, activities and engagement officer at Hartlebury Castle, said: "We’re very excited about the food and drink festival. We’ve got so many wonderful businesses attending, and lots of tempting items on offer.

"This is a great opportunity for visitors to discover local delicious food and beautiful tasting drinks, including those from up and coming companies.”

Stall holders include Hussingtree Gin, Checketts of Ombersley and Croome Cuisine Artisan Cheeses.

The Bishop's Table Cafe will also be open as normal, serving food from local suppliers, and preserves will be on sale at the castle shop.

The festival takes place from 11am to 4pm. Normal admission fees apply. For more information, visit hartleburycastle.com.
