A KIDDERMINSTER youngster will rub shoulders with a star-studded cast for a third year after landing a role in a touring Christmas musical.

Katelyn-Janet Rollason, of Foley Park, has been recast in Nativity! The Musical and will be singing and dancing in theatres all over the country from this October.

The 11-year-old is one of 20 children from the West Midlands who were cast as pupils from St Bernadette’s, the fictional Coventry school where the story is set, after passing her audition.

Now, the young star will be joined by the likes of special guests Sharon Osbourne, Danny Dyer and his daughter Dani Dyer, and Rylan Clark-Neal on stage in London.

Last year, Katelyn-Janet was cast in the festive feature film Nativity Rocks Christmas, appearing alongside the likes of Craig Revel Horwood, Ruth Jones and Helen George.

The musical tour starts at Wolverhampton, before travelling to Aylesbury, Canterbury, Wales, Plymouth, Southampton, and ending in London.

The young star's mum Nicola and dad Stephen are "extremely proud" of their daughter and say "it's been a fantastic opportunity for her for three years."

Katelyn-Janet, who is home schooled, said: "It has been an amazing part of my life for the last three years. I am so thankful to the director Debbie for believing in me and giving me so many exciting opportunities."
