MOTORISTS are being warned that roads in Kidderminster town centre will be closed on a rolling basis during this Sunday's Remembrance Day parade.

The parade starts from New Road Car Park at 10.30am, making its way through the town centre and up to St Mary and All Saint's Church on St Mary's Ringway by 10.50am.

There will be a short service outside at the memorial, then another service inside the church.

The parade leaves St Mary's at approximately 12.10pm for the return journey through the town centre, concluding at the New Road Car Park at around 12.30pm.

Permission for temporary road closures has been granted by Wyre Forest District Council between 8.30am and 2pm, affecting New Road, Bridge Street, Oxford Street, Vicar Street, Bull Ring, Lower Mill Street and St Mary's Ringway.

Tony Beirne, Kidderminster town clerk, said: "The roads will be closed on a rolling basis so as to cause minimum disruption to all road users while ensuring the safe passage of the parade.

"I would advise all road users to avoid using the affected roads during the times of the parade to prevent any potential delays to their journey."
