THE old Homebase site in Kidderminster will be taken over by discount retailer B&M later this year.
The national retail chain has confirmed plans to open a brand new store in Spennells Valley Road, creating 40 jobs in the process.
Alongside a variety of branded products, including toys, food and drink, pet range, health and beauty and homewares, the new branch will also boast an extensive DIY, decorating and furniture range - as well as its own garden centre.
A spokesman from B&M said: "We’re feeling really positive about the creation of more jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.
“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door later this year.”
The store, which has been vacant since Homebase closed in December, will now undergo an extensive internal and external refurbishment programme over the next few months.
