A BEWDLEY pub is looking for a music act to feature on a popular TV show.

Channel 5's The Gadget Show is set to be filmed at the Hop Pole Inn on Cleobury Road next Thursday (February 13) and pub owner Richard Sheasby has been asked to find a solo act or band for the shoot.

The landlord says he was contacted by the show "out of the blue" to ask if the pub could be used to film an episode about high definition televisions.

Richard said: "They are coming to the pub to test the sound quality of TVs and they want to film a band playing. They rang me out of the blue."

The owner says the production company is looking for a solo acoustic act or a small folk or jazz band who perform their own material to take part in the filming.

The act needs to be flexible and ready to film from 4.30pm on the Thursday.

Richard added: "This is a rare opportunity to get national coverage.

"We really appreciate being picked amongst all of the establishments in the area and we are keen to support local bands.

"We are looking forward to taking part and it's a great feature for the area.

"The West Midlands Safari Park will also be on the programme as well. It will be a great event for all."
