City has filed an approach for the ex-Stourbridge, Coalville Town and Rushall Olympic and had hoped to register him in time to play against Selston on Saturday only for the clash to fall victim to the weather.

The postponement leaves City with 13 Midland Football League (MFL) Premier Division matches to fit into less than eight weeks.

There is also an MFL Cup quarter-final to play but should City progress from that, it is understood league bosses are looking to stage the semi-finals on Saturday, May 2.

The final will be held at Walsall on Monday, May 11.
