A NEW butchers has opened up shop in Bewdley today (Thursday, March 5), which offers a range of traditional meat products.
Owner Andrew Francis, who also runs a butchers in Ludlow, says he is "shocked" after the welcome he received on a successful first day.
Andrew Francis Butchers on Load Street saw customers "queueing out of the door" earlier today as well-wishers took to social media to show their enthusiasm for the new butchers.
The premises underwent complete refurbishment before the grand opening.
Mr Francis said: "I've always fancied coming up here and the opportunity arose.
"We have completely refurbished in the shop.
"I can't believe the response we have got. The people are so lovely up here.
"It has been a fantastic day. We have probably made treble what we were expecting.
"We came in blind and didn't know what people wanted. It really has been a pleasure."
The butchers offers traditional meats including home cured bacon and sausages.
They also offer local free range beef, lamb and homemade pies.
