DISCOUNT retailer B&M has confirmed an opening date for its long-awaited new store in Kidderminster.
The brand new shop, which will feature its own garden centre and furniture range, is set to open at the site of the old Homebase store in Spennells Valley Road on Wednesday, April 29.
It is set to create 40 jobs in the town and will sell a variety of branded goods, including toys, food and drink, pet range, health and beauty, homewares, DIY, decorating and furniture.
The branch will also boast its own garden centre, selling seeds, pots, and hundreds of plant varieties which will be delivered fresh to store throughout the season.
A spokesman for B&M said: "We’re feeling really positive about the creation of more jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.
“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in April.”
B&M is currently welcoming applications for a range of jobs at its new Kidderminster store on its website, including manager and sales assistant roles.
The site has been vacant since Homebase closed in December and has been undergoing an extensive internal and external refurbishment programme over the last few months.
The store will be open from 9am on the day of its grand opening.
