POLICE received reports of two men with blood on them carrying machetes in Hartlebury this afternoon.
Officers conducted a search of the area after receiving reports at around midday on Friday, March 27 that the men were armed with machetes.
Reports on social media claimed the men were seen near to the Post Office in Inn Lane.
West Mercia Police said officers located two men matching the descriptions given by witnesses, but said no weapons were found.
A police spokesman said: "Around midday officers were called to reports of two men in Hartlebury reportedly with machetes and blood on them.
"After a search and investigation two men matching their description were located and interviewed however no weapons were found and no arrests were made."
